Applying for College
As you go through these excursions and lessons, you will need to record information. This is best accomplished through a journal. You can hand-write in a notepad or you can type into a document on the computer. Whatever method works best for you is fine. The important part is that you take time to do it. Anyone can read the lessons, but you will only find the value when you take the time to complete them.
By now, you have developed a set of target colleges. This list has been derived from thoughtful consideration as well as evaluation of each school based on the four criteria discussed during the Targeting section: Financial Fit, Academic Fit, Personal Fit, and Admissions Fit. Your list includes “safety” schools, “likely” schools, and “reach” schools. Now, it is time to work on your applications!
