RevStreamMarketing, a successful, privately-owned marketing firm providing web, video, social and mobile marketing is expanding a division of the firm, Mocul.com to serve local businesses and consumers.  We serve as the bridge between local businesses and their customers by putting a new spin on the popular daily deals concept with a highly targeted, neighborhood specific, text-based model. The system and technology are in place.  We just need to the right person to join our team to grow together.

Position Overview

The Area Marketing and Account Director is an outstanding opportunity for a social person to join a growing firm in a part-time or full-time capacity to gain valuable experience and create a substantial, residual income stream.  It is ideal for a college student focusing on business or marketing, a recent graduate or a sales/marketing professional.   The Director will lead the promotion, marketing and client relations efforts in the local area and will serve as the direct local contact with our corporate office.   There are two primary roles:

1. Promoting the company and its deals to the ideal target market to gain subscribers.

The target market varies based on the local area, but includes those who live/work/play in the local area.  These target markets include niches such as 1) Young Professionals, 2) Suburban Moms, 3) College Students, etc.   This promotion would involve using the best methods to gain subscribers (posting flyers, handing out flyers at local events or gatherings, sending e-mail broadcasts, etc.) to drive users to subscribe to receive the deals from local businesses.

2. Promoting the opportunity to local businesses.

This role involves calling and meeting with local businesses to explain the opportunity of how they can reach local customers.  It includes securing a local title sponsor for the initial promotion and securing the businesses as clients.  These will be the businesses that send the deals to the consumers.   The type of businesses (depending on the target market) typically include local restaurants, shops, salons, spas, gyms and in some cases bars and nightclubs.   It will also be necessary to maintain the relationship with the business to retain them as a repeat client and to gather the ads and deals that they would like to send and enter them into our online system (no coding knowledge is required).  

Preferred Skills

• Must have an energetic, positive, can-do attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit and be willing to work hard
• Should be well connected in the local area to 1) easily reach a large number of potential subscribers, and 2) know the area and be part of the “scene” to know the best local businesses to approach regarding the opportunity.
• Existing contacts with local business owners (restaurants, stores, etc.) is a huge plus
• Must be proficient with technology (and have the ability to type and update forms on websites, etc.)
• Must be incredibly organized and professional
• Must have outstanding customer service skills to be able to work with the businesses to maintain the account over time

Compensation

This is intentionally a commission-based position.  We want to work as a team and reward those who contribute so have set-up an extremely generous compensation system. Since this position involves ongoing account management, the commissions on every business account continue forever, as long as you are with the company.   The range depends on the amount of accounts managed, which varies based on the local area and niche.  Opportunities for advancement in time include the chance to expand the number of accounts to multiple areas.
