Day 1 Focusing

Today, we jump into the e-course to help you create the life you have always imagined!

Excursion One – Focusing

This excursion kick-starts the process and helps bring clarity to anyone looking for more out of life or how to figure out what their next step will be.

For example, those in a job search may want to take “anything,” but let’s say you meet two people who are looking for a job…

The first comes up to you and says, “I’m looking for a job.  I’ll take anything right now,” and their resume objective is: “Professional seeking to apply my skills to help a company.”

The second comes up to you and says, “I’m a certified public accountant seeking to affiliate with an accounting firm, preferably in Atlanta, Georgia or another large city in the Southeastern United States.  Would you happen to know anyone in the industry who may be good for me to speak with?”

Which one sounds more focused?  Which would you typically be more likely to help?  Obviously the answer is the second.

Of course, this applies even more to the person looking to start a business so they can know where they can find their niche.

The lessons in this Excursion contain valuable exercises that will allow you to spend time reflecting, thinking and creating.  This will allow you to jump-start your life so you can create your ideal future.

Make the time to take full advantage of this program.  We know you want to launch a great business idea or find a great job in the least amount of time, but this is also your life we are talking about.  Starting a business can either fund your dreams or drain your time and bank account.  Or, for those looking for a job, you spend the majority of each day working, so you should certainly take the time to find one that will be rewarding both personally and financially.

Fortunately, there are many methods that will help lead you down the path to a solid financial future. Many people who mean well will give advice suggesting a career, but that advice is often based on their own needs or interests and not yours.  Also, no career interest assessment needs to tell you what to do.  Assessments should be a guide in helping to figure out what is best for you.  The “answer” is not necessarily linked directly to a vocation at this point-there may be multiple “answers” at this stage in life.

The best way to decide on a career is not to take a look at the list offered or by job postings, but rather to look at yourself.

You can view or download the focusing exercises as a .pdf document by clicking here.

This document should be your first step in create the ideal future.  Also, it is highly suggested that you write down the results.

Best of luck!
Patrick

p.s. While we suggest completing all of the exercises, we know they may be overwhelming, especially if you are pressed for time.  If so, the ones our clients say are the most impactful are lessons # 1, 3, 5 and 7.
